Summer Fun

In Indiana, 90 + degree temps can only mean one thing...fair season is here! Seriously, growing up we had one "fair" (I use this term loosely) that came to the local mall each year, but that was about it. Here, every county has their own with each one boasting to be bigger and better than the other. The Elkhart County fair is currently going on and Sarah was lucky enough to get to go...on opening day no less...with her Grams, Grandpa, and Grandma! I gotta say I was surprised they lasted as long as they did given the temps here lately, but they put in a full day and it sounds like everyone had a great time. :-)

Below are a few pictures they took of their day. A big THANK YOU too to Grams & Grandpa for helping a 9 month pregnant woman out. Sarah had a ball and there is no way I could have taken her and shown her such a great time!


Of course Sarah had to pick the purple motorcycle!




She said the bumper boats were her favorite. My guess it because she got to hit the other boats!


What fair is complete without a pony ride?


Sarah "won" this Dora blow up wand during the fishing game. In addition to being super cool, it also makes a squeaking noise when you hit it. Most mornings I can hear her upstairs playing with it in her room before she even comes down. :-)

Our Little Fish

Sarah has always enjoyed the water, but this summer she seems to have become a fish right before our very eyes. She seems to have no fear when it comes to getting in and even loves going off the diving board at the pool. In fact, every now and then you'll hear her shout "Cannonball" before taking off (of course she has no clue what this means)! Her confidence in the water is growing and I certainly can't complain about the new way to beat the heat! :-)

June Pics

As many of you know, we've decided to once again be surprised with the gender of little Noto #2 and with roughly 8 weeks to go, the suspense is starting to get to us. :-) So, in an effort to pass the time and have some fun, we've decided to see what everyone else thinks our newest addition will be. A cute story

This morning when I went to get Sarah up for school, I could hear her playing with her Princess phone when I got to her room. This phone is cute and has recorded messages from the different Princesses inviting you to a tea party, the royal ball, etc. Sarah was laying in her bed playing with it when I opened the door. I laughed to myself and asked her if she had missed a call. Without missing a beat she told me, "yes, I missed 2 calls. One from Snow White & one from Belle while I was sleeping." Seriously, what do you say in response to something like that? :-)

Another First...

Sarah has moved into the 3 year old room at her pre-school and today was her first Show & Tell! She was very excited to get to school today and show all of her friends her toy...her Beat Box Bunny! :-) Aunt Patty & Uncle Scott gave this bunny to Sarah awhile ago, but it was the first (and only) toy she even considered taking with her today. He's actually really cute and plays a song when you push his hand. Sarah likes this because she loves to dance every time he starts playing. :-) I can't wait to hear how the whole thing went!
