Museum Fun

While Spring might be starting to arrive in other parts of the country, it has yet to stay for any length of time here in Northern Indiana. Since playing outside was out of the question yesterday, thanks to the 30 degree weather and wonderful rain & snow mix, we piled in the car and drove to the Curious Kid's Museum in Saint Joseph, Michigan. This has been on our "want to do" list for awhile and it was nice to finally make the trip. From face painting to bubble machines to a walk-thru ambulance, Sarah had a great time and has been asking all day to go back. Here are a few pictures of our day!

Face Painting with Daddy. Sarah decides to be a kitty cat.

The finished product! Meow!

Going down the volcano slide!

Giving Daddy a check-up in the ambulance.

On the walkie-talkie.

DJ Sarah in the radio booth!

Sarah loves blowing bubbles so you can imagine how excited she was to find the human bubble machine! She loved standing here and popping the bubble as soon as it got big. Too funny!

Here is a clip of DJ Sarah Noto...coming to you live! Enjoy! :-)

Some Outdoor Fun

It finally warmed up here a bit last weekend and we were all excited to get outside! We ended up at the new playground at the zoo and it was a lot of fun. It's amazing to see how well Sarah tackled the ladders, climbing wall, and slides. She is certainly more independent now than she was even 6 months ago.

Here are a few pictures from our outing. Enjoy!

Chef Sarah

As Sarah has gotten older, she really enjoys helping me in the kitchen. She's actually quite good at mixing things together...as long as she remembers to go slowly. :-) Her favorite thing now is to help me make her "cheesy bread sandwiches" (a.k.a. grilled cheese). Watch out Rachel Ray!

The Next American Idol

Sarah got a toy keyboard for her birthday and has been having a lot of fun singing. Here she's playing a few notes and singing the new bath tub song that her Grammy taught her.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

Happy Birthday Sarah! It seems hard to believe, but our little girl celebrated her 2nd birthday a few weeks ago. It's truly amazing how quickly the past two years have gone, but it's been so much fun to watch her grow & learn. She is talking in complete sentences, singing songs, sleeping in a big girl bed, and telling us constantly "I can do it." She certainly is an independent one. It sometimes feels like she's 2 going on 22. :-)

For Sarah's birthday we decided to go with a Little Einsteins theme party. We were able to get most of the party decorations online, but much to our amazement, we could not find a "Rocket" shaped cake pan anywhere. After some discussion and looking at a few of the toys Sarah has, we felt we could make the cake ourselves. At times I thought we were crazy to tackle this, but in the end I think we were both really happy with how our "Rocket" cake turned out. It was a joint effort from both Steve & myself, but it was certainly worth it in the end.

Here are a few pictures of the cake and Sarah's big day. Enjoy!
